Recently Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision purchased India distribution rights of Subhash Ghai's upcoming movie Yuvvraaj.

The deal has been finalized for Rs 25 crores which includes prints and advertising, dissimilar to Rs 40 crores according to the figures hovering in media and trade circles. The marketing & Distribution director Mr. Rupen Amlani of Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision confirmed the covenant and told, "Shree Ashtavinayak will distribute Yuvvraaj theatrically all over India. The film looks excellent and we got the hold of rights at a fine cost, but I can’t unveil the cost."

Recently Shree Ashtavinayak collaborated with Studio 18 for the worldwide distribution rights of all its movies. After a long gap now, the company has bought all India theatrical rights for any movie. The news is also that Shree Ashtavinayak may further sell the sub distribution rights for territories. The overseas rights are still with Eros International. It is scheduled for release on 21^st November 08

Samir Karnik’s started his career by directing Kyun Ho Gaya Na & Nanhe Jaisalmer which has been vitally and viable disasters. But Samir has accumulated inspiring characters for his forthcoming Heroes movie. The billboards look really striking.

Deepa Mehta plans to make an ambitious film on the 1914 Komagata Maru tragedy that demonstrated the racist policies of the then Canadian Government. Toronto-based Hamilton-Mehta Productions announced that Mehta has already signed Akshay Kumar to play the lead. Talks are also under way with various actors, including Hollywood A-listers.
